School Food... Enough Said (open)

"Phang is actually above the door. "He said, pointing to where the snake rested above the door frame. "He likes it up there. And Monti, is right here." He spoke as he lifted the spider out of the enclosure, and held him out in his hands. "You can hold him, and pet him. He jumps sometimes. Watch out. " He warned, giving Kylie the spider and walking over to pick Phang up from on top of the door frame. He laid him half over one shoulder and the snake curled it's tail up around Vix's hip. Its head rested against his chest and he flicked his tongue at the air, his eyes looked on Kylie. "Someone needs to stop adventuring so much, I'm going to have to start putting you in your house, aren't I?" Vix asked Phang as he stepped closer to Kylie. "He glared down at the snake. "You better be nice to her."

Kylie turned around, her eyes widening in surprise as she spotted the snake above the doorway.

"Oh, gosh... sorry Phang, didn't see you there!" she told the snake cheerfully. She grinned as Vix handed her Monti. The spider's legs tickled her hand, and she couldn't help but giggle. Using the back of one finger, she softly stroked his back. "You're right! He does feel furry!" she said with a small giggle. I might have to get myself a tarantula some day... the girl thought to herself. She quite liked his one, in any case.

Vix stepped closer to her, carrying his snake, and she smiled at Phang. "Hey there, Phang..." she said softly to the snake. "How're you? You don't want to be stuck in your house, do you? No, I bet you'd rather explore. I know I sure would." She laughed as the snake's tongue flickered out at her.

Vix watched, smiling as Kylie pet Monti, and he lifted Phang's chin, edging his head out toward Kylie. "Pet under his head, don't move too fast. " He cautioned her, as he slide his hand back further down the snakes neck, letting him hold his own head up. He used his other hand to take Monti, which he sat on his shoulder and turned his face to. He chuckled lightly and kissed one of the spider's legs, which seemed to anger the spider. Monti kicked his leg up, hitting Vix in the nose and he wrinkled his nose up, squinting. He chuckled and kissed his leg again, only to be smacked in the face again. "Stop that, would you?" He asked, laughing as the spider started crawling up his face, sticking one leg in his ear. "Told you he likes to climb up things. I think he likes having a good view on things."

Moving slowly, so that Phang could watch where her hand was going, Kylie reached under his chin and stroked the scales there, a smile spreading across her face as she did so.

"You like to have under you chin scratched, huh, Phang?" she cooed to the snake. She glanced up at Vix once more, just in time to see him kiss Monti's leg and, in turn, get smacked in the face. The situation was so funny that she couldn't help but laugh at Vix, who kissed the spider's leg once more, getting hit in the face yet again. She continued to giggle as the spider began his ascent to the top of Vix's head.

"Well, he'll certainly have a good view from up there," Kylie teased lightly. "He can probably see what seems to him like miles from the top of your head!" She scratched under Phang's chin some more, cooing random terms of endearment at the snake.

Vix chuckled, watching Kylie pet Phang, hoping he wouldn't get angry and snap at Kylie. He smiled and tiled his head a bit, making it easier for Monti to climb. He smiled as he sat on the top of your head and he glanced upwards at him. "I bet you like the view up there."

He looked back to Kylie. "If he jumps, try to catch him, but don't grab him. You could rip off one of his legs if you do the wrong way. It's almost happened before. He had a pop sickle stick tapped to his leg for a few weeks." He chuckled, remembering how cute Monti was as he squirmed, walking awkwardly on his splinted leg. He was lopsided and walked sideways for almost a month after the stick was removed, not realizing he now had the ability to bend it. He fell over constantly.

Kylie couldn't be sure, but it seemed that Phang enjoyed having his chin scratched. She was a little nervous about it, though, since Vix seemed to think that Phang might try to bite her. Even though Kylie liked snakes, she preferred them when they didn't try to bite her.

The girl's eyes grew wide as Vix told her about Monti's previous accident. "Oh, the poor little dear," she said, frowning sympathetically at the spider. She imagined it would've been awkward for the spider to walk with a Popsicle stick stuck to his leg like that. "That probably was suckish, wasn't it, Monti?"

She looked back at the snake, entirely enraptured with its nearly hypnotic eyes. She'd always loved being able to look into the eyes of animals, although she made sure never to stare directly into them, in case their species saw that as a challenge. The last thing she wanted to do was fight a snake.

[Vix]

Vix nodded, unwrapping the snake from around him and sat him on the bed. He then lifted Monti from on top of his head and set him on the dresser. The spider seemed to take that as a challenge and started off for the edge of the dresser. He hopped off and plopped on to one of the other beds and ran across it. Vix chuckled and watched as Monti jumped down to the floor and made his way over to Kylie's shoe, where he placed three of his legs up on her ankle, flailing another leg to keep his balance. He made it clear he wanted to be held, and tried to climb up her leg but fell back on his back. Vix sat down next to Phang and stroked his back, watching Monti beg for Kylie's attention. "Someone's a little desperate for love." He said.

Kylie watched Monti scurry around with mild amusement, chuckling as he tried to climb up her leg, failing and falling back down to the floor. She giggled at Vixen's statement and stooped down, gently picking up the spider and, remaining in that position, beginning to stroke its back with the back of her index finger.

"Who's desperate for love? Is it you, Monti?" she cooed, scrunching up her nose at the spider. "That's okay, honey, I'll give you a little love. There's enough to go around!" Kylie laughed and sat down slowly so as not to jerk Monti around too much, crossing her legs underneath her Indian style. She sat the spider on her lap and waggled a couple fingers at him, giggling as he batted at her moving fingers with his legs.

"He is just so cute," she gushed to Vixen, smiling up at him.

Vix nodded. He sat on the floor, letting Phang droop over his shoulder, as he pet the top of his head. "He thinks he's super man though, he jumped off my head the other day. He almost fell on his head, but he used his awesome cat like reflexes to save himself. It was funny, but scared me at first. " He chuckled. He pet Monti, and ripped some of the strings that went across the rip in his pants.

He pulled Phang down into his lap, rolling him onto his back. He scratched his chin lightly and pinched the sides of his mouth, so the snake opened his mouth. He poked at the snake's fangs, tempting the snake to snap at him. Vix knew he wouldn't. He poked his finger at the snakes tongue playfully. The snake tried to clamp down but Vix pulled back. The snake hissed and then curled up in Vix's lap. Vix smiled.

Kylie's eyes widened as Vixen described Monti's fall. "Oh, wow. I guess that would kind of scare you, huh? Good thing he's alright, isn't it, Monti?" She'd started the sentence directed at Vix, but it had ended up becoming a question to the spider as he crawled up on to the top of her hand and started to make his way up her arm.

Kylie raised an eyebrow at the snake's antics, laughing slightly as Phang hissed and curled up in his owner's lap.

"My my, someone seems a bit grumpy today. Is Phang always like that?" she asked Vixen, her eyes on the spider that had made its way up her arm and was now standing on her shoulder, attempting to get on top of her head.

"Your view won't be quite as good on top of my head as it is on top of Vixen's, my friend," she told Monti, giggling as the spider's legs tickled her cheek in his attempted climbing.

[Vix]

Vix shrugged. "He usually is happier, and friendlier." He stroked the snakes scales. "He acts differently depending on how I act. Or feel. I swear he knows more about my own emotions than I do." He chuckled lightly, and he bent down and kissed the snakes head. "And I think Monti is just looking for a new view, maybe not so much a better one."

He watched as Phang slithered away from his hand and opened his mouth. He looked to be yawning, but then clamped down on Vix's leg. Vix did nothing more than glare. The snake didn't release it's grip either, it just sunk it's teeth in deeper. Vix nearly hissed at the snake, "That's not nice." The snake, angry as ever, let go of his leg and snapped his head up, attempting to get a grip on Vix's nose but Vix grabbed his neck and held him. "What's gotten into you?" He asked his snake, tilting his head. He ignored his now bloody leg.

Kylie laughed, and looked up as if she could actually see the spider, who by this time had made his way up the side of her tilted head and was sitting contentedly in her hair. "Comfy up there, Monti?" she asked, giggling a little as he shifted. His legs kind of tickled her head.

Her eyes opened wide as Phang slithered away from his owner and clamped his teeth down on Vixen's leg. She watched the scene in horror as the snake bit harder, then tried to bite Vixen's face as well. But the worst part was the boy's leg, now bloody.

Kylie couldn't stop staring at the blood, her hand slowly rising to cover her mouth as a small, barely audible squeak escaped her throat. She was totally unable to say anything else as her eyes remained locked on the blood, her other hand clamping into a fist on her knee, knuckles white. She swallowed hard, trying to maintain her composure.

Vix looked worried up at Kylie. "What's wrong?" He asked, an upset tone quickly taking to his voice. He followed her gaze to his leg. He wiped off the blood with his leg. "The blood? Was that it?" He asked. "It's no big deal, I'm fine." He said as he wiped more blood. "Just a little puncture wound, I'm used to it anyway. Phang bites me all the time." He wiped the blood once more, it quickly flooding out again. The blood streaked down his pants, leaving stains that dripped down from the two holes in his jeans. Vix stood up and quickly grabbed a towel from the bathroom and held it on his leg, forcing the bleeding to stop. He normally would've just let it bleed itself dry, but he wanted to make it stop since it was clearly upsetting Kylie. He tried to calm her without altering her too much, or in a way she would notice. He would do anything he could to keep from having to use his... gift. He felt like it wasn't right and refrained from it, but at times like this it was unavoidable.

Kylie swallowed hard once more and nodded slightly, still taking care not to disturb Monti, who was still sitting on top of her head.

"I...I don't really like blood...it's not... I don't know why, it just bothers me..." she stammered, trying to explain why she was acting like this and failing to some degree. She truly didn't know why blood bothered her so badly; the only time she'd really seen a significant amount of it was when she had attempted to cut off her wings. And perhaps that was the reason why. Whatever the reason, the sight of blood always seemed to paralyze Kylie. She continued watching Vixen in subdued horror as he cleaned off his leg.

Then, suddenly, Kylie no longer was so horrified at the blood. In fact, she felt...calm. Which to a normal person would be, well, normal, but it was weird for Kylie, who generally lived her life is a state of moderate to extreme hyperness. Something was weird about this, and it should've made her nervous, except she just felt calm.

"Is there a gas leak in here?" she asked, her tone an uncommon one of indifference.

Vix shook his head, now aware that Kylie could feel the change in her mood. "No No, I don't think so." He said, he tried to make her feel a bit more cheerful. He quickly bandaged his wound. It was covered and the bleeding had slowed nearly to a stop, but the blood wasn't visible anymore. He sat next to Kylie, perhaps a little to close. "I'm fine now, everything's okay, isn't it?" He looked at her questioningly, as if he hadn't a clue why she suddenly felt different. He let up on his control on her mood, letting her own emotions have some control. He continued to be seemingly unaware of what was going on. He felt tempted to feed her another emotion, or a kind of feeling that would suit to his liking a bit better, but knew it would be wrong for him to do so.
