[For Vix.]

The school's latest transfer student, Lolita D. Due wandered unto the hallways. She carried a backpack and in her hand was the school map. She was still looking for the dorms, but there didn't seem to be anyone around for her to ask. She sighed, a little a disappointed. She'd like to directions -not that she couldn't find it herself. Rather, it would be a good way to start getting to know others in this school. She hadn't really gone to school in a long time. She usually came in for roll call (so she could be marked as present and not get notes for truancy) and then hoped over the school fence. Wasn't tricky, what with her wings and all.
She sucked at flying though.

"I swear I've seen that door already..."She growled irritably as she passed a brown door for what she was sure was the third time. Was she just going around in circles? "Argh! For the love of all that is unholy!"She growled, suddenly slamming a closed fist into the wall. To her pleasant surprise it didn't shatter at all, solid brick. A lot of the schools she "went" to were -much- weaker. She was forever breaking stuff.

Vix was wandering the hallways, in no rush to get back to his dorm from the library. He had his bag lazily thrown over his shoulder, containing the few books he'd just check out from the library. He sighed, pulling up the strap so the bag didn't fall, when he heard someone. He turned the corner to find a new student very frustrated and seemingly lost. She slammed her fist into the wall out of rage, and Vix would've swore he could have seen steam pouring off of this girl's head. He debated whether he wanted to offer to help her or not as he continued slowly down the hallway, wondering if she had even noticed him yet. He got closer, and he didn't think she'd noticed him yet and she seemed to be cooling off. He figured she was in need of help. "You need any help?" He asked.

Lolita looked up surprised when she heard someone speaking to her. She hadn't heard him coming down the hallway... strange. Looking at him, she blushed a little. He was much taller then her -and cute. Geez, she didn't have to show her "I like to beat up stuff" side to her just yet, did she?
"Uhm, Kinda yeah."She replied, holding up the map, "I can't find the stupid dorm rooms." On the page was her dorm room, scribbled (but readable) at the top of the page. She still had her angry face on, her hand a little red from the assault on the wall.

"So, what's yooour name?"She asked, casually flicking back som loose strands of her navy hair which had rung loose from the red ribbon which held it back. "I'm Lolita Due."She added, holding out a hand to shake.

Vix took her hand and shook it. "I'm Vixen. You can call me Vix if you like." He said, half smiling.
"I don't exactly know where the your dorm is but I at least know where the girls dorms are, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out." He reached for the map, pointing to where they were, and tracing around to where they were going. "It's really not that hard. Just turn right up there, follow it down, turn right there, and left there. You'll get the hang of it soon enough. I can show you around later on if you like. " He adjusted his pack again, then scratched the back of his head a bit. "If you want to of course. I could get a professor to give you a tour since they'd know the place better than I do. It's your choice though."

Lolita smiled sweetly as he shook her hand. Aaah... he seemed a little dense. Just a little.
"Hmm.. Okay."She took in the directions, memorizing them. Pft, simple enough. "Would you show me?"She asked once he finished speaking, "Professors are pretty boring, and I don't get along with teachers anyway. They're all like rules and being-in-charge. I can't deal with that."She explained, gesturing and adding a little shy-like laugh at the end. Essentially she didn't deal with authority.

"So have you been here long?"She asked, beginning to walk down the corridor, feeling awkward just standing in the middle of an empty corridor. She was curious about this person, he seemed nice enough. She could assume he noticed her wall attack, so he seemed pretty nice to ask if she wanted help even under those circumstances.

[Vix]

Vix nodded, "I don't really like professors much either, they tend to think they're so much better than everyone. So, sure, I'll show you around. When do you want me to?" He could see why she wouldn't like teachers, they probably wouldn't like her punching walls.

"I've only been here a few days, still get lost sometimes. But I think I'm getting better with it." He followed her down the hall. "I take it you just got here, huh?" He didn't really wait for a reply, "It's sort of scary at first, with how big it is and all. But it doesn't take too terribly long to really get used to it and figure your way around. The girls dorms seem to be the closest to everywhere though, boys are the farthest. I take twice as long as Kylie to get to the cafeteria..." He trailed off, half chuckling.

"Sometime soon would be nice. So I'm not getting lost much longer."Lolita replied, laughing a little.

Lolita was going to answer, but he continued. It was obvious she was new anyway. When he mentioned 'kylie' she cursed under her breath, quietly enough that he wouldn't notice, but tried to remain casual. So he'd only been here a few days and already had some girl he was thinking of... Hm, she'd have to wait and see if he was worth getting into an argument with this girl over. If she seemed not his type enough then she could just wait until it boiled over.

"So, who's Kylie?"She asked, looking up to him. She might as well ask. She wanted a "just a friends" answer. She'd have to meet this girl sometime...

[Vix]

"How about right after I show you your dorm?" He suggested.

He could feel a change in the air when he mentions Kylie. "Did Lolita already meet Kylie? Had something happened between them already?" He wondered. Then she asked who Kylie was. So she hadn't met her yet. "What had changed the mood then?" He thought to himself.

"Kylie's just some girl I know..." His voice trailed off again, and he looked down at his feet, still walking. He scratched at the back of his head and licked his lips nervously, then bit his lower lip, gnawing on it. It was already bleeding, and he dug his teeth in deeper. At least it kept him quiet, and that was all he was aiming for at the moment. He sighed inside and tried to look a little less awkward and on edge on the outside. Something told him he wasn't succeeding.

"That'd be great!"Lolita replied, looking cheerful. Yay, one.. friend secured for the afternoon.

Lolita noted that he seemed to be feeling awkward. He must have noticed her reaction to the mention of Kylie. She braced herself for hearing what she didn't rrreally want to. Wasn't like she wanted to start fights in this new school. But if need be...

"Oooh. Cool."She replied, though she could tell by his reactions it wasn't quite the case. She watched him quietly as they walked, thinking it through. "...Honestly, you shouldn't do that..."She muttered, noticing a trickle of blood from his lip-biting. People had said she gave off a powerful or domineering feeling to the people about her that made people nervous. Whether or not it was true she wasn't so sure, but it seemed this kid was picking up on it if it were.

"So... what year are you in?"

Vix ignored her, and kept sinking his teeth into his lip. "She really is just a friend," He said sighing, something told him she thought differently. When she asked what year he was he shot her a questioning look for a split second that said "Why do you care?" but he was gone before he thought she'd noticed. "I'll be a senior in the fall." He said, knowing that even though he should be in that grade due to his age, there was no chance of him being there in his prior education, what of it there was. Group homes didn't care much if anyone there got an education or not, and the foster homes he said in almost made it seem like they didn't want him to have an education, much less care if he had potential, or wanting to learn, which he did, but he rarely had the chance.

Lolita resisted the temptation to roll her eyes. He was like a vampire or something. He defended himself, though she could tell he liked her. She was tempted to bite her own lip, but didn't. She didn't show insecurity around others.

She looked a little taken aback by his initial reaction to her question.
"Sorry.. I was just trying to chat."She replied, sounding more hurt then she was. It was only half true of course. So he was what, 17? Barley a year over herself. That'd be okay. Not that it mattered much with Lolita.
"So, what's it like here?"She asked, wondering what happened to the dorms. This small chat was getting boring and a little edgy. It looked like he was at least subconsciously aware of what she was doing and it didn't seem like he liked. He must really be hung up on that Kylie girl...

Vix shrugged, scratching his arm awkwardly. "It's definitely different, unlike any where I have ever been at least." He looked down. "Although, I did grow up bouncing back and forth in group homes, adoption centers, and foster homes. Not like I had a chance to ever see any place that would be anything like this, so I don't know if there are places like it or not. For all I know it could be like most other boarding schools, with the exception of all the students having the ability to fly thanks to the mutation of wings on their back..." He half chuckled. He could not have been more awkward and weird with his response. He felt like a complete moron. He hated that he didn't know how to have a normal conversation, but he couldn't help it, it was him after all. He hoped she'd change the subject to something he could talk about.

"Huh? really?"Lolita looked up a little surprised. She thought this place would be full of wealthy snobs. It looked like the sort at least. "I... I kinda get that."She half mumbled, blushing. She hardly ever told anyone about her past. It was none of their business and she didn't want their pity or for them to take advantage of her because of it. AND they could someone from the group...

They turned, and the row of rooms with numbers on them were there. These numbers were a little different in design to the others, so Lolita guessed they were the dorms.
"So is this it?"She asked, looking cheerfully between him and the classrooms, "Hmm, Mine's 101 I think."She mused, checking the map for the number. Finally, she could set her stuff down and take the tour around the school with him. Surely there'd be more to talk about then and she get to know him..... and... She fiddled through her coat pockets for the key

Vix nodded, and ignored the fact that she clearly didn't want to mention anything about her past. Then his eyes opened a bit wider when she announced her room number. "101? Really?" He half chuckled, checking her piece of paper. "That makes you Kylie's room mate." He said, tapping the door lightly to see if she was inside. He remembered the room number from when at lunch at few days before Kylie had invited him over to meet Kink. "I hope you're okay with snakes." He said, realizing Kylie's room mates would need to be okay with Kink. He wondered if that would cause any trouble, and he hoped not. He wondered himself if his room mates, who ever they were if when they got here in they'd be okay with snakes or spiders, because if not, there could be a lot of problems...

[Kylie Jenson]

Kylie had been enjoying her day off. She hadn't had any of her summer classes scheduled for that day, so she'd decided to paint. She had been painting a landscape, Kink coiled up on her bed, when she heard a knock at the door. Putting down her pallet, Kylie took a quick glance in the mirror, brushing a loose lock of hair away from her face. She'd put it up in a bun that morning to keep it out of her way as she painted, but some of it had fallen down since then. Her hands and cheeks had paint smudges on them, but that would have to be the way it was. She got up from her easel and opened the door, smiling at Vixen and a girl she hadn't seen before.

She'd been told that morning via her mail carrier that she would be getting a new roommate today, so that must've been who the girl was.

"Geez, Vix, do you bring every girl you meet here?" she asked the boy playfully, giving him a wink to let him know she was joking with him. Stepping back, she swept her arm in an arc, saying, "Please, come in, both of you! I'm Kylie, by the way, Kylie Jenson." The last part was added for the sake of the girl.
