[Open to one other. By the by, suddenly we're using Irish law. Drink at 18. I'll never understand this 21 one stuff. I always forget about it ''] K:anode, the short and red headed "professor" sat in a corner of the bar, sipping on a glass of cola. He liked cola. Unfortunatly, in this place they didn't seem to have straws of any description, much less a red and white one, which is what he wanted. Still, this was a rather nice change of pace. It was only a Wedensday evening, and the music was pretty lax and not too loud. It was really just a 'hanging out and chatting over a drink' type of evening, rather then a 'dance until your feet bleed' type evening. He preferred the former and loathed the latter. He sat under one of the few white lights, a book open at a slant on the edge of the table. Chemistry. Less, essentually he came here with the intention of reading. Not partying. Partying was so not his thing.

Kylie Jenson pushed open the door to the bar, gazing around the room. She smiled to herself. She'd been told that the Avenging Angels Bar and Grill was a favorite hang-out spot for Galaxium students, but she'd hoped that the bar wouldn't be too packed. Really, Kylie just needed to get away from Lolita, her new roommate, who for some reason or another seemed to hate her guts. She'd wanted someplace quiet, and since it was Wednesday, she'd figured the bar wouldn't be busy. It turned out that she was right, and only a few people were sitting around, sipping drinks and talking quietly among themselves. Of course, there was only one person there that Kylie actually recognized, and so she sat down across from him at a table where he had a chemistry book open in front of him.
"Hello, Professor K:anode!" she said cheerfully. She hadn't spoken to the red-headed professor since her accident, and she hoped he realized that she wasn't mad at him.

K:anode almost jumped when she spoke, having not heard her sit down, being so entrawled with the book. "Oh, hey Kylie -or miss Jenson.."He looked a little confused. Did one keep to the poleiter forms of talking when speaking with students outside of school? He was quite sure Ms. Flynn would.. but she was really stiff. And the headmisstress. She had to set a good example. He frowned. He also felt a bad about the whole, hospitalizing Kylie due to not paying enough attention thing. The guilt was already starting to subside a good bit though. He felt completely awful at the time... but it wasn't the first time he'd messed up in a job. He had been disapointed that it had also happened in this line of work. He was hoping for a new start. Still, in his experience, surviving mess ups was impressive, so all was not lost. And looking at her now, she seemed to have recovered almost perfectly. "What you doing here?"He asked. He wasn't too surprised, she seemed the partying sort, but she was also underage.. "Actually, your only what, fifteen, sixteen. What are you doing here?"He gave her suspicious look, trying to look like a resposible teacher, but he was struggling to hold back a smirk.

Kylie grinned at the confused-looking professor. "You can call me Kylie, Professor K:anode. Even Professor Flynn does, out of school anyway," she said in her usually breezy way. She'd been feeling much better since the accident. Her nose had healed with only the slightest bump to mark where she'd been hit, and all of the bruising had already faded away into her skin.
She laughed at the red-head's question. "What do you mean, what am I doing here? This is a bar and grill, sir. They serve food and soda as well as booze," she reminded him, pointing at his soda to prove her point. "Trust me, Professor, I'm not the sort who drinks alcohol. I actually came here to get away from my roommate, if you really care to know. I don't know why, exactly, but it seems to me that she doesn't like me at all, no matter how friendly I try to be. And she's no less surly if I leave her alone. I honestly don't know what to do." She shrugged, then pointed at his book.
"So what are you doing? Studying?" She laughed at the thought. "That's kind of funny, a professor studying. Not what you'd expect."

K:anode's playful smile dropped when she mentioned her reason for coming here. "Oh, that's not so good."He mused, looking concerned. Having people you didn't get along with around was never too enjoyable, but for them to be your roommate?! Could it get much worse? He had begun to think of a solution he could offer, but she cut off his line of thought with her question.
"Uh, kinda."He replied, inserting a tattered bookmark and closing it. "General interest really -and a little revision. It's been a long time since I've looked over any of the stuff you guys are learning." He explained. "So, if I may. What makes you think she doesn't like you?"He asked, hoping she didn't think him too nosey. "Your pretty friendly and nice. I find it pretty hard believe anyone wouldn't like you"..and if they didn't like you, they'd probably feel pretty guilty about it too. He thought.

Kylie shrugged. "Yeah, well, I mean, I can put up with it, but only for so long. I'm just hoping that she's not in many of my classes this fall. I don't think I could stand that very well."
She nodded at his explanation for what he was reading. "It does sound like a good idea for you to review what you're teaching, when you put it that way," she admitted, though the idea of a teacher studying still amused her somewhat. She frowned at Professor K:anode's question.
"Well, it's basically just the way she acts towards me, like I've stepped in something gross and I'm now trailing it through her freshly-cleaned house. She's always glaring at me, and no matter how nice I try to be, she acts like I just called her a bad name." Kylie shrugged again. "I have no idea why. Maybe it has something to do with how I met her..."
