As the time of the Great Battle of Ragnarok (the battle of the gods and the end of the Nine Worlds) began drawing closer; Fenrir, eldest child of Loki who took on the form of a wolf, began to devise a plan to keep himself alive though the tongue of his own (the wolves).
So he called upon his little sister, Hel, the Goddess of the Underworld, and met him in the place he was bound by craft of the dwarfs. There he gave bribe to his sister for small chain of islands in return for his support and aid to her undead army in the time of the Great Battle.
All knew perfectly well that the prophecies foretold Fenrir being ripped to shreds by the son of Odin, Tyr, who he was destined to kill. Yet Fenrir assured his allegiences to Hel, and the bargain had been struck. The chain of islands, which had come to be called the Fang of Fenrir, had been formed and they were, as planned, to survive even after the end of the Great Battle.
Sometime after, Fenrir called upon his most loyal of wolves, Mulciber, and commanded him to gather three hand-chosen packs of the finest, most loyal of the wolves in all the Nine Worlds, and lead them to the Fang where they were to live in worship and praise to Fenrir. Thus keeping him alive even after being torn to pieces during the Great Battle.
After some 373 years had passed by; the Great Battle had long ended (and Fenrir long dead), the wolves of the Fang had grown from being allies, to being rivals. No longer did they work together to keep their beloved God, Fenrir, alive; they had begun to challenge one another's place amongst the island. Each pack developed such great differences that they could never be reunited into peace. This caused them to spread to different sections of the islands.
Each belief was so diverse, it could well-nearly be considered a completely different culture. One pack (the most cruel, and punishing of the three), that had become to be known as the Dark Wolves, believed that they were superior over the less strict, more easy-going packs. They believed that for this, and their loyalty, Fenrir had blessed them to be stronger, smarter, and higher up than the other two.
Another of the three, the pack that had become known as the Light Wolves, believed themselves superior especially to the Dark Wolves for their "peaceful" ways and their loyalties to Fenrir. Also they believed that Fenrir has blessed them smarter, and more level-headed than the other two packs for these things.
Yet the third of the three packs is completely different. They are called by all as the Lone Wolves for their differences of...Opinion. They are under full acknowledgment that their beloved God, Fenrir, is dead. The Lone Wolves feel their only obligations to him are an occasional thanks for their survival of the end of the Gods and the Nine Worlds.
This treacherous war, a curse from Hel in return for the broken bargain with her brother, continues today. Each of three alliances fight day-by-day to prove themselves more suerior than their own brothers; Who's side will you choose to be on?
